Wildlife Rescue
We take in small and large animals and have a designated area of twenty acres of wooded and open land
Wildlife arrives all year round, but from April to early September it is extremely busy, with hundreds of orphans requiring regular hand feeding every ten to twenty minutes from dawn to dusk – exhausting, but very rewarding!
All injured birds or wildlife should be assessed by a Vet as soon as possible.
We work alongside our local RSPCA Officers and Vets, who after assessment and appropriate treatment, arrange for the transfer of casualties to Wolfwood.
Here, they are cared for until they are strong and healthy and where possible, released back into their natural habitat.
Our work is growing, as increasing numbers of animals and birds are in need of care and attention and we are equipped to resolve problems.
Over the years Wolfwood has successfully hand reared and released a wide range of animals and birds.
If you find any injured wildlife, the first call is to your local Vet Practice.
Please make sure that they are aware that Wolfwood is available to take poorly wildlife, as in the past, they may have been put to sleep!
